Day 01.- Arrival to Lima

Transfer from the Lima International airport to the Hostel Porta - Miraflores. Ample accommodation with two beds per room. The hotel is located in the modern district of Miraflores. Transfer time is about 40 minutes. The hotel includes breakfast.

Day 02.- Lima Pisco (B - L)

This morning passengers will be presented to their tour program and activities in Peru.
The city tour starts at 09:30 am. We will start by visiting Lima downtown, Paseo de la Republica, Plaza San Martin, Main Square, Government Palace, Archibishop´s palace, Cathedral, Municipal Palace, and miraflores area. The tour takes around 4 hours. The tour includes a bilingual guide and tourist bus to take the passengers from the hotel and out/in to their different destinations. Lunch is at the Hotel after the Tour. Early in this afternoon we start to go inside Peru. We start going to Pisco’s town. The drive time from Lima to Pisco can take up to 5 hours, in the way we visit towns like Chincha which is Peru’s biggest Afro-peruvian cultural town and producers of different local wines, also we have short stops at different valleys and coast line towns. Arriving to Paracas we have the accommodation at the Hostel Frayles.

Day 03.- Pisco – Nazca (B - L)

After breakfast starts the Ballestas Islands tours. This tour includes transfer from the Hotel to Pisco port, entrances, bilingual guide, tourist boat and the tour can take up to 3 hours. In this tour we visit the millenarian Candelabro (a big figure made in a rocky sand wall). The Ballestas complex of islands is a natural habitat of Sea Lions, Penguins, sea birds, etc. After the tour passengers will have lunch in the hostel. At late afternoon you will take the bus to Nazca town, the drive time is about 4 hours in Cruz del Sur Company. In the bus passengers will have a snack aboard. In Nazca we stay at the Hostel Mirador de Nasca in the main square of Nasca.

Day 04.- Nazca – Arequipa (B - L)

Today we flight over the Nazca Lines and have a tour to Chauchilla cemetery. The tour includes bilingual guide, transfer from the Hotel to the local airport, entrances and transfer back to the hotel. The tour starts at 7:00 am after breakfast and the flight take about 40 minutes. From the local airport we continue our visit to the pre-Inca cemetery of Chauchilla, here is possible to see mommies that have been kept almost intact by the dry desert.
We return at the hotel and free afternoon.
In the evening we take the bus to Arequipa. www.cruzdelsur.com.pe the bus service is called Cruzero semi-bed seats and it can take up to 10 hours.

Day 05.- Arequipa City Tour (B - L)

The bus from Nazca arrives in the morning to Arequipa city. From the bus station passenger will be transferred to their Hotel. In Arequipa we stay at Hostel Bolivar. Passengers will be presented to their Tour Guide. Passengers will have a typical lunch.
The city tour in Arequipa starts at 14.00. It includes a tourist bus, a bilingual guide, a visit to the Santa Catalina Monastery, Yanahuara district where you can take excellent pictures of the Volcano Misti. The tour is around 4 hours. Return to the hostel.

Day 06.- Arequipa – Colca Canyon (B - L)

The Colca Canyon tour starts about 6:00 in the morning. Passengers will be picked up by the guide and a tourist bus will take them to the Chivay town located in the Colca Valley. Leaving behind Arequipa we drive along the El Misti and Chachani volcanoes. Later, on the plains of the Andes’ Altiplano we will be able to observe South American cameloids and a wide variety of birds. Along this scenic way we also see different snow covered peaks over 6000 meters including the famous volcano Ampato and we will drive over a pass almost 4800 m. a. s. l. This afternoon it is possible to visit and enjoy the hot thermal baths of Chivay. Return to hostel.

Day 07.- Chivay – Mirador Del Condor – Puno (B - L)

In the morning we visit the Mirador of Condor, which is a lookout point from where we can observe condors ascending from the canyon going up to where they can spot their food. Later on, we walk along the rim of the canyon learning how the Inca and pre Inca civilizations used both sides of the canyon as a laboratory for farming purposes and we will visit small villages for a moment, to be part of the living culture here. Back to Chivay for Lunch and take the bus to Puno, this is a 6 hours bus drive trought Altiplano landscapes.
Arriving to Puno’s bus station passengers are transfer to Embajador Hotel.

Puno is located at 3800 m.a.s.l. and is considered the capital of folklore in Peru. It is also the biggest city around the Titicaca Lake and most of its people are Aymara natives. It is from Puno where all the tours to the Titicaca Lake start from.

Day 08.- Puno – Titicaca Lake Tour - Puno (B - L)

The Titicaca Lake tour starts after breakfast in the Hotel by transfer passengers from the hotel to the port in Puno. From here we will take the boat and begin to sail on the Titicaca Lake, the highest (3,821 m. a. s. l.) commercially navigable lake in the world. We start by visiting the floating islands of Uros made of reed mace, and mingle with the Uros people who live on the islands. We learn about their life in perfect harmony with the lake and the way they use all what it gives to them. Continuing with our tour, we leave the Uros and sail to Taquile Main Island. Here we take a walk on the island visiting the Taquile Village. On this peaceful island, dominated by tiered platforms, you can admire the beautiful textiles and garments while you watch the natives weaving. On this island we will also enjoy a lunch based on trout from the lake. Back in Puno, arriving at approx.17.00, our bus will be at the port waiting to take passengers back to the hotel.

The tour to the Titicaca Lake includes a tourist bus, a bilingual guide, boat with capacity for 20 persons, a visit to the Uros floating Islands, a visit to the Taquile Island and pick up and drop off at the hotel. Lunch in Taquile Island is included.

Day 09.- Puno – Cusco (B - L)

Transfer from the Puno hotel to the central bus station. We take a tourist bus from Puno to Cusco at 07:30. This bus trip includes a bilingual guide and a buffet lunch in Sillustani town on the way to Cusco. The bus ride can take up to 9 hours, and it will stop for different tourist attractions along the road including Andahuaylillas with its Barroco Church, Racchi ruins also known as the Temple of the God Wiracocha and la Raya pass (the highest point between Cusco and Puno where you have excellent photo opportunities) and Pukara with its oldest ceremonial site. Arriving Cusco bus station, a shuttle will be waiting to take us to the Hostel Mallqui, a representative of Amari Tours will contact you for information about your next days, tours, activities and practical information about Cusco.

Day 10.- Cusco City Tour (B - D)

Free Morning.
In the afternoon the Cusco’s city tour starts at around 2 pm, including pick up from the hotel, a tourist bus, and official bilingual guide, entrance to the Cusco Cathedral, the Koricancha temple where we can see the architecture of both worlds, the Incas and the Spanish, visit the fortress of Sacsayhuaman (Satisfied Hawk) with its mysterious megalithic rocks each weighing approx. 125 tons, cut with such precision that allows for interlocking shapes and underground passages. We can also find the ruins of Q’enco, Puka Pukara and Tambo Machay. The entrances can be bought with a multiuse ticket (Cusco Visitors Ticket), but this needs to be purchased by you.
The tour takes about 4 hours and half. The bus will take the passengers back to the hotel. Overnight accommodation Hostel Mallqui.

Day 11.- Incas Sacred Valley Tour (B - L)

This day we have a full day tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The tour starts around 8 am and it includes a tourist bus, an official bilingual guide, a visit to Pisac’s ruins and market (only 3 days a week). Pisac has the ruins of a citadel that connected the Inca Empire and Paucartampo or entrance to the gorge. Here you see water ducts and steps cut out of solid rock. There will be lunch at the restaurant near Urubamba. After lunch we have a visit to Ollantaytambo town and its archeological site. Continuing the tour we visit Chincheros village where we tour its local Indian market and the colonial Cathedral. All entrances to the Sacred Valley tour are in one multiuse ticket as well, but it needs to be purchased by the same passenger.
Return to Cusco around 6 pm. The bus will take the passengers back to the hotel.

Day 12.- Cusco - Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco (B - L)

Morning transfer to the train station to Aguas Calientes town, from Aguas Calientes we take a bus to Machu Picchu. The Incas started building Macchu Picchu around 1430 AD. The Ruin was abandoned as an official site for the Inca rulers a hundred years later at the time of the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire. It was largely unknown to the outside world before being rediscovered by Hiram Bingham III, an American historian. We start our visit with a guided tour that takes 2 to 3 hours and which brings us to the most important locations at the archeological site. Our guide will tell us about the great importance of Machu Picchu an agricultural, astrological and religious center. We explore the 3 main areas of Machu Picchu the Sun Temple, Intihuatana and the Room of Three Windows. The remainder of the day we spend at this amazing site and we have the chance to climb Wayna Picchu (personal optional tour) or visit the beautiful Moon Temple. We meet in the afternoon at a designated site outside Machu Picchu and return to Aguas Calientes for Lunch and leisure time. In the afternoon we board the train at 16:43 destination Cusco, arriving here at 20:13. Upon arrival in Cusco we check into the hostel Mallqui.

Day 13.- Cusco – International airport (B)

Free morning in Cusco. Transfer from hostel to the airport to take flight to Lima and connect to the International flight.
