Transfer from Arequipa airport/ bus station to Tierra Sur Hotel, free morning. Afternoon will have Arequipa city tour. The city tour starts at 14.00. It includes a tourist bus, a bilingual guide, the Santa Catalina Monastery, Yanahuara district where you can take excellent pictures of the Misti Volcano, and return to the hotel tierra sur 3 stars, located just two blocks from the plaza de armas of Arequipa. The tour is around 4 hours long. Typical dinner in a restaurant.

At 02:30 a.m. we will transfer to the bus station to leave Arequipa, driving for 3 ½ hours towards Chivay, the capital of the Colca Canyon on north west direction behind the snow-covered Chachani. In Chivay we will have breakfast and then continue with the “Cross of the Condor” when we can appreciate approximately an hour.
The area presents beautiful typical towns, like Yanque & Maca, colonial churches, gently people with typical needlework dresses, hundreds of pre-Inca terraces which are still in use with andean growings like corn, quinua and kiwicha.
Arrival to Chivay, we can visit the hot spring calera it´s optional, after lunch we will travel back to Arequipa. On the way we stop at the highest pass: the viewing point of the volcanoes and snow covered mountains in Patapampa (4.800 m.a.s.l). Later we will see wild vicuñas, alpacas & llamas in Pampa Cañahuas national reserve, some birds like flamingoes, ibises, andean geese, ducks and andean eagles named "Kara Kara".
Finally we will arrive in Arequipa at about 17:30 and transfer to Tierra Sur Hotel.
